Background Information
In rapid response to several dozen anti Second Amendment proposals from Representative Cruz from Philadelphia and endorsed by Governor Rendell, the LVFC immediately revised the "Gun Ban Politicians" radio ad. The speedy insertion of this altered radio ad helped spread the word about the Harrisburg Rally and increased the turn out of gun owners from the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. The LVFC, working alongside several state wide organizations, helped squash many of the horrible bills and sent the legislature a very strong message. Unfortunately this was not the end of the threat; the fight goes on.

March/April 200760 Second Gun Ad - Gun Ban Politicians Modified for April Rally
Let’s stay awake folks – our state politicians are at it again. There are a few hard-core gun-ban politicians who just don’t get it. Criminals don’t obey gun laws. Criminals flourish where gun control laws make it difficult for citizens to defend themselves. Governor Rendell has joined with a number of Philadelphia area State Representatives to try to force passage of a number of anti-gun bills that would further restrict law abiding citizens, making it more difficult for us to defend ourselves, our homes and businesses. The last thing we need today – with high crime and terrorism – is to have a batch of anti-gun legislation. Philadelphia and a few other big cities – such as New York and Los Angeles – have high rates of crime because they make it hard for citizens to acquire and possess the means to defend themselves. You can help. Plan to attend the big pro-gun rally at the State Capitol on April twenty-fourth at 10 AM. Bring your friends. Tuesday April twenty-fourth at 10 AM at the Capitol.
